The 2012 DC3 Challenge runs on a fixed schedule.

- Offical announcment of the DC3 Challenge 2012 to the public.

- Registration Opens
- Registration opens for teams to apply to play in the DC3 Challenge 2012 until November 1st, 2012
- Applications received each day by close of business (COB) will be processed within 1-3 business days for approval.
- Approved teams are provided Challenge packets containing all challenge materials will be available for download-only.
- 02 Apr 2012
- 20% Bonus Round Ends
- Teams that provide submissions between 15 Dec 2011 and 01 April 2012 will recieve 20% bonus points on their graded submissions.
- 02 Jul 2012
- 10% Bonus Round Ends
- Teams that provide submissions between 02 April 2012 and 01 Jul 2012 will recieve 10% bonus points on their graded submissions.
- 02 Oct 2012
- 5% Bonus Round Ends
- Teams that provide submissions between 02 Jul 2012 and 01 Oct 2012 will recieve 5% bonus points on their graded submissions.
- 01 Nov 2012
- Registration Closes
- Registrations are no longer accepted for the DC3 Challenge 2012.
- 02 Nov 2012
- Solutions Due
- All DC3 Challenge 2012 solutions, including scripts and tools created by the team, must be uploaded or postmarked to DC3 no later than November 1st, 2012 at 11:59:59 PM EST to be eligible for a prize(s) in their assigned category.
- Exercise solutions received after 1 November 2012 EST will not be accepted for scoring for prizes and at the discretion of DC3.

- Winners Announced
- All participants will be notified via email of the posting of DC3 Challenge 2012 results.
- Final results will be posted on the DC3 Challenge 2012 website.
