The DC3 Cyber Training Academy (CTA) provides in-residence and online training to DoD elements that protect DoD information systems from unauthorized use, criminal, fraudulent, and foreign intelligence activities.

CTA Overview

From the Academy's earliest days, the core mission has been to provide high-quality cyber training to students from a wide array of DoD and federal agency organizations. From a modest beginning in 1998, when the curriculum consisted of a single course, the Academy has grown substantially, transforming into a premier DoD cyber training provider that offers more than two dozen courses via in-residence, online and deployed delivery formats designed to meet the evolving needs of students.

Courses range from computer basics to network intrusions and cyber analysis. In addition, the Academy offers three DOD certification's widely recognized as validations of competency in digital forensic skills:

  • Digital Media Collector (DMC)
  • Digital Forensic Examiner (DFE)
  • Cyber Crime Investigator (CCI)
