Operations Enablement Directorate

The mission and principal focus of the Operations Enablement Directorate is to amplify the effects of Department of War-wide law enforcement and counterintelligence investigations and operations, and by extension, the effects of the U.S. Intelligence Community at large.

OED integrates specialized tools, strategic resources, technical expertise, and partner coordination to enhance investigative outcomes and support mission execution across the enterprise.

OED Capabilities

OED organizes analytical support, intelligence production, collaboration, and recurring engagement to help mission partners convert information into actionable outcomes.

Analytical Group

The Analytical Group conducts focused technical and cyber intelligence analysis, leveraging multiple sources of data, unique analytic tools, applications, and capabilities to directly support stakeholder requirements and priorities.

Production

The Analytical Group publishes reports that generate investigational and operational leads, document technical findings, and highlight trends that enable predictive analysis.

Collaboration

OED partners with the DC3 Defense Industrial Base Collaborative Information Sharing Environment and the DC3 Cyber Forensics Laboratory to help protect critical technologies and information.

Quarterly Engagement

The Analytical Group hosts attendees from Department of War and federal-level law enforcement and cyber agencies to discuss relevant and emerging cyber threat topics of interest.

Malware Support

OED supports the release of malware signatures and decoders that allow Defense Industrial Base partners to defend their networks from malicious actors.

Operational Impact

OED strengthens investigative and operational outcomes through technical analysis, strategic products, intelligence support, and partner-focused mission enablement.
